From Goodreads: Theia Alderson has always led a sheltered life in the small California town of Serendipity Falls. But when a devastatingly handsome boy appears in the halls of her school, Theia knows she's seen Haden before- not around town, but in her dreams.
As the Haden of both the night and the day beckons her closer one moment and pushes her away the next, the only thing Theia knows for sure is that the incredible pull she feels towards him is stronger than her fear.
And when she discovers what Haden truly is, Theia's not sure if she wants to resist him, even if the cost is her soul.

I could not put this book down. The writing flowed very well and the characters were interesting. I admit the first thing that caught my attention was the cover. It is gorgeous! The black roses, the pretty dress, the great hair... and it all corresponds to the book! the model on the cover is actually what I imagine Theia to look like. Theia lives in a Victorian house (so jealous, I love those!) with her Father who doesn't allow her to do much, she doesn't get to choose her own clothes or even decorate her bedroom. He seemed really harsh and I wondered what had happened to make him that way, was it the death of Theia's mom?

The two used to live in England and move to the Bay Area when Theia was 13, she still has the cute accent. She has had the same two best friends since then, Donny and Amelia. I loved these two! Donny is a bit wild whereas Ame is into tarot cards and has been crushing on the same guy for years now. I really liked that they were so involved in the story, they were weren't background noise to the main story. As far as friends go, these two are the real deal, they help Thei and in turn she also helps them (mostly in the matchmaking department).

Then we have Haden. Mysterious, aloof, hot and cold. I won't go into too much detail on him because I feel it is best left for the book but know that I liked him right away, especially when he was in regency clothing... Where and when you ask? In dreams. That was definitely something new, I lived for the scenes when Thei was dreaming. The first few dreams were a bit grotesque and spooky but that is why I liked them so much. In fact this book has a lot of scenes that were a bit freaky, once again the cover conveys just that. There a few twists and turns in the book and it seems like a lot happens for a book of this length. I am looking forward to the next book and reading more about Ame and Varnie *smirk* I'm not telling who Varnie is!

I give this book 5 Stars!
