Blog Hop #9

Blog Hop hosted by Jennifer @ Crazy For Books

If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?
Absolutely! I don't see why anyone wouldn't. I can't say I immediately buy the other books, but there is a definite chance I might if I liked the author's writing/style. This doesn't apply to this particular question but I also look up an author's books if I like they way they present themselves on Twitter or Facebook, like if they're really friendly and what-not.

Now for my question: What book will you be reading this weekend?

I do go back, I love pouring over backlists, and sometimes you can even see how an author has evolved, and that's awesome.

    What will I be reading?
Well, I'm finishing up Princess for Hire, and then hitting If I Stay and Where she Went.

    After that... who knows?

  2. I have hunted books from specific authors from the library or the bookstore because I love their style. My blog says more. This weekend I am reading Izzy's Pop Star Plan, which is really for the teen and tween group but is unique in that it is set up as a compilation of blog posts. It is interesting with some good values too.

  4. I would usually hunt down an author online and find their website. I like websites for books! They're so themed :)And it is mostly the author's writing style that gets people. xo

  6. I don't really follow authors unless I've read something by them but when they're really friendly it does want to make me support them more.

  7. I immediately hunt down the author of a book I love! If I love one of their books, what's to say that I won't love the rest?

I'm travelling to the US this weekend so I'll have lots of time to read on the drive! I'm going to take Lies by Michael Grant and an eARC of Bumped by Megan McCafferty on my iPhone :)

    Here's my Hop!

  8. Hi! I'm Izzy, and I'm just hopping on by. I also look up authors' books if they seem to be really friendly or funny on their blogs or whatnot. I guess social networking does actually play a part in selling books!

  9. I probably don't go looking for another book by the same author right away, but if I like the book then I'm more likely to read another book by the same author in the future! Cute blog! New follower; have a great weekend and a happy easter!

  12. I agree. I might not buy books but I would definitely read them. That is a great idea (twitter/facebook selection). I'm still too shy to add authors on twitter.
